<p>We have been working on our business.  We don&#8217;t often have the opportunity to make changes as we move at fast speeds working for our clients on their businesses.  We have had some early morning  meetings and have been looking at ways to increase our service, have things feel better for our clients, and have us stay on the cutting edge of what is happening in the world of marketing.  We realized we have a real knack for helping clients who invest in yellow pages advertising change their marketing budgets over time in a strategic way.  We realized we really enjoy helping our clients with strategy and we like having long term relationships&#8211;we aren&#8217;t really into one-night stands.  We want to invest, dig in, and really enjoy long term relationships where our clients have real and measurable results over time.</p>
<p>I had a few surprises as we started looking at how we spend our time  We found some areas that we have been giving away our services free and have made a couple of changes.  We are a larger company now and we need to serve our clients in new ways.</p>
<p>We have added 4 new products to our product line and I want to tell you about them.</p>
<p>1.  Coach Approach Branding</p>
<p>This is for the client who wants to know how their brand is working, who their ideal client is and how their plans work together to create a targeted brand for potential clients.  This is accomplished with a series of sessions with a certified business coach who specializes in branding and marketing.  The outcome of this process is a clearly targeted and defined emotional brand. This can be used to evaluate and create future products, marketing, logos, print and web marketing.  What is the impact you want to leave on your clients and in the world?</p>
<p>2.  Brand Identity Manual</p>
<p>This is a clear and concise guide for all your marketing including logos, fonts, sizes, colours, etc.   Everything you need to manage your brand.</p>
<p>3.  Full Marketing Plan</p>
<p>Everything you need to understand your place in the marketplace, competition, and strategies for future marketing.  Our Marketing Plan includes a comprehensive Web Marketing plan which can be purchased separately.  We take a 5 year approach in this plan and assume it will have annual updates.</p>
<p>4.  Web Marketing Plan</p>
<p>Analysis of your marketing online.  Considering your position on the web and maximizing opportunities, key word analysis, PPC opportunities and a 5 year plan for your web marketing.</p>

<p>In 2009, celebrities, marketing agencies, and the &#8220;under 35&#8217;s&#8221; fully embraced Twitter and other forms of social media. <p>Mobile media messaging in general via web browsing, texting, and other &#8220;apps&#8221;, driven in part by iphone growth and increased market share, is quickly outgrowing the &#8220;early adopter&#8221; phase and becoming the norm.  YouTube is already getting more viewers a month than all the major televison networks combined. Facebook continued to grow, with their Farmville game exceeding 11.5 million daily users.</p>

<p><strong>2010 Predictions</strong></p>
<p>Your grandparents will soon be &#8220;twits&#8221;!  But love them anyway.</p>
<p>More companies will utilize search engine marketing strategies and reroute their marketing funds from traditional media such as yellowpage and newspaper advertising, to internet marketing campaigns.</p>
<p>Facebook, YouTube and other social media marketing advertising revenues will continue to grow rapidly as more applications and target markets are developed.  Gaming on social media in general, will explode. It took World of Warcraft (the single most prolific online computer game to date) 4 years to get to 12.5 million users; Facebook&#8217;s Farmville was almost there in less than 2 months.</p>
<p>SMB revenues will continue to dip or stagnate until an upward trend starting Spring 2010, at which time internet marketing PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising costs will start to increase.</p>
<p>ICAN (the international domain name registry) recently approved a proposal to accept non-English characters in<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top-level_domain"> top-level domains</a> as a result, new foreign markets, typo &amp; domain squatting will become significant trends.</p>

<p>Since advertising rates are typically based on distribution numbers, this example (and I know we&#8217;re not the only ones this happens to) illustrates how yellowpage advertising distribution numbers can be very over-inflated.</p>
<p>Many small businesses pay thousands of dollars a month/year for their yellowpage advertising, especially if they want their ad to appear in different directories. This cost can be astronomical when you calculate how much they are paying a year.  All that money and they can&#8217;t even measure how many people actually see their ad (or if they just flip the page vs reading the ad content).</p>
<p>Compare this to PPC (Pay Per Click) Internet Advertising&#8230;you don&#8217;t pay at all for people to see your ads, even it they are presented hundreds of times on the search results page (to your target audience, people that are searching for the key words that represent your business offering). You can target as many geographic areas as you want, without paying extra.</p>
<p>You only pay for a PPC ad, if someone from your target audience who is interested in the services you are offering (your targeted keywords) actually clicks on the ad and goes to your website.  Now that, is pay for performance advertising.</p>
