The Coach Approach
Step One: First Contact
Before any project begins, you must first meet with your Stagecoach Designs account manager. Your account manager serves as your usher through the design process, from determining your project’s scope, to providing you with a quotation and contract, to following up with you after completion.
When you first meet with your account manager, you’ll have your first chance to lay it all out on the table: what you’re looking for and what you’re hoping to achieve. Providing us with this information allows us to provide you with the best possible solution!
Step Two: Your First Coaching Call
After you’ve met with your account manager and have determined what you’d like to do, your next step is to really get into the details. One of our business coaches will speak to you in-depth about your project’s scope, diving into a discussion of your vision and how it can be realized. The coach will ask a series of questions designed to provide you with clarity and will take detailed notes–which are shared with our whole team–to ensure the best possible product for you.
Step Three: Meeting Your Designer
At the end of your inaugural coaching call, you will get to speak to your designer. Introduced by your coach, your designer will be seeing your project with you through the next few steps, and will be available for you directly at any time in the process.
Your designer will review your business coach’s notes and produce your first mock up.
Step Four: Your First Mock-Up
Your first mock-up is a graphical representation of what we’ve designed for you using the information you have provided. This is the first time that you will be able to really see what we’re beginning to produce.
Mock-up is also a critical phase in development, so much so that we’ve provided an entire separate step for mock-up analysis and revision.
Step Five: Revising your Mockup
When you receive your first mock-up, it may not be exactly what you were picturing. That’s why we revise! Using our How To View Your Mock-Up document provided to you, you and your designer will perform a critical analysis of this preliminary design to isolate your dislikes, likes and loves from what we’ve put together.
This can be a long and seemingly tedious process, and if you feel this way, you’re not alone. Many people begin to feel a lack of progress during this step. It is best to remember that this is the longest phase of development both for us and for you. Once its complete, however, we guarantee your happiness.
Step Six: Your Final Mock-Up
After the revision process is complete, you’ll have arrived at a final mock-up. This final mock-up will be the real look and feel which we use to produce the rest of your project, so hold your head up high! The next few steps will fly by for you.
Step Seven: Content Coaching
While your designer is turning your mock-up into a fully functioning web site, you will be speaking to your business coach again; this time, about content.
Content covers everything from photographs to body copy, videos and section headings. Using keywords generated by our search engine optimization experts, your business coach will guide you through the art of writing for the web, and writing for both your end user and search engines.
Step Eight: Content Insertion and Revision
After your content coaching call, and after your designer has built your site, your designer will insert your provided content into the website. Minor revisions, such as section lengths, headings, and other minor adjustments are made now, and your final product is produced.
Step Nine: Final Product and Going Live
It’s been a long trip, but it’s been worth it! Your site is complete, your content inserted, and everything is just the way you want it. What is there left to do? Go live, of course! Stagecoach Designs will upload and configure your website for you, ensuring that your project is, from start to finish, made with beauty and quality.
Step Ten: Celebrate
Take the time to sit back, relax, and appreciate the fruits of your labour.
